Abstract:
An element is provided with: a cylindrical filtration material (33); a frame (42) disposed on the outside radially of the filtration material and having defined and formed therein a plurality of openings (42a) for allowing fuel to flow therethrough; an end plate (47) which is disposed on the inside radially of an end section beam (42c) of the frame, is joined to the end section beam, and is joined to an end of the filtration material; and an adhesion layer (53) provided between the end section beam and the end plate and between the end of the filtration material and the end plate. The end section beam is provided with: an annular receiving groove (42e) for receiving the end plate from an end of the frame to the inside of the end section beam; a small-diameter section (42j) provided at the inlet of the receiving groove and having an inner diameter capable of receiving the end plate; and a large-diameter section (42k, B42k, C42k) located further inward of the receiving groove than the small-diameter section and having a larger inner diameter than the small-diameter section. A fuel filter has cases (11, 12) for accommodating the element and causing fuel which is to be supplied to an engine, to flow through the element.
