Abstract:
An internal combustion engine (1) includes a direct injection fuel injection valve (8) and a port injection fuel injection valve (9), wherein the injection amount ratio of the valves is controlled mainly depending on the temperature of a valve head portion (4a) of an intake valve (4). The temperature of the intake valve (4) and a combustion chamber wall temperature are used as parameters such that the injection amount ratio of port injection is increased as the intake valve temperature becomes higher, and the injection amount ratio of port injection is also increased as the combustion chamber wall temperature becomes lower. Because fuel vaporization is promoted by the heat of the valve head portion (4a) of the intake valve (4) and wall flow is reduced, exhaust emission is improved.
