Abstract:
In order to ensure the responsiveness in injection of a large amount of fuel, and to improve the injection amount accuracy of a small amount of fuel, the present invention provides a fuel injection control device 127 for controlling a fuel injection valve 105 in which the stroke amount of a valve body 303 that opens an injection hole for fuel injection can be changed. In the fuel injection valve, stroke movement of the valve body can be performed by a first stroke in which the maximum stroke amount is a first amount and by a second stroke in which the maximum stroke amount is a second amount larger than the first amount. The fuel injection control device is provided with a control unit 202 that, in stroke movement of the valve body by the first stroke, maintains and supplies, for a predetermined time period before supply of a first peak current, a current less than the first peak current for causing stroke movement of the valve body to the first amount, and that, in stroke movement of the valve body by the second stroke, supplies, to the fuel injection valve, a current increasing toward a second peak current for causing stroke movement of the valve body to the second amount.
