Abstract:
A port injection type internal combustion engine is provided with a fuel injection valve for each of a plurality of intake ports formed in each cylinder. A fuel injection directionality differs between first fuel injection valves provided for each first intake port, which constitute some of the plurality of intake ports, and second fuel injection valves provided for each second intake port, which are the intake ports other than the first intake ports. A fuel injection control device sets an injection allocation ratio for the first fuel injection valves and an injection allocation ratio for the second fuel injection valves on the basis of the fuel injection directionalities of the first fuel injection valves and the second fuel injection valves, and a physical quantity relating to an intake air quantity of the internal combustion engine. A fuel injection quantity of the first fuel injection valves and a fuel injection quantity of the second fuel injection valves are calculated by means of the injection allocation ratios of the first and second fuel injection valves and a demand injection quantity.
