Abstract:
This fuel injection control device (40) performs control on a fuel injection system (1) that is provided with a direct-injection-type fuel injection valve (30) through which a high-pressure fuel in a pressure accumulating vessel (32) is directly injected into a combustion chamber (21) of an internal combustion engine (10), the fuel injection control device being provided with: a selection unit (43) which selects an injection mode for fuel to be injected during a compression stroke of the internal combustion engine, on the basis of a prescribed switching condition by switching, between a soot reduction mode to reduce soot through prevention of the fuel from remaining on a front end side beyond a seating part (56) of a valve element (51) of the fuel injection valve and another injection mode different from said soot reduction mode; and an injection control unit (44) which effects fuel injection determined for the compression stroke of the internal combustion engine in accordance with the fuel injection mode selected by the selection unit.
