Abstract:
Disclosed is a fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine. When port injection and cylinder injection are simultaneously performed, the amount of unburned fuel can be comprehended by the fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine. If the number of explosions and the temperature of cooling water are known at the time of an arbitrary cycle, the known values can be applied to first and second maps so as to obtain both the amount of unburned fuel when 100% of fuel is injected into a port and the amount of unburned fuel when 100% of fuel is injected into a cylinder. Then, amounts of unburned fuel which take into account injection ratios can be respectively obtained for the obtained amounts of unburned fuel by multiplication with the injection ratios at the time of injection of the unburned fuels. Finally, an unburned fuel request value can be calculated by adding the obtained amounts of unburned fuel.
