Abstract:
In a fuel injection unit capable of control changing a mixing ratio of fuel and
water (inactivation material) arbitrarily and instantaneously in accordance
with load level, temperature conditions, etc., evenly dispersing of fuel and
water (inactivation material) in a combustion chamber is realized while satisfactorily
conducting intake of air for fuel spray to thereby simultaneously suppress the
generation of nitrogen oxide NOx and soot. There is provided a unit comprising
fuel injection passage (27) for guiding of fuel injected from fuel injection
orifice (25) of fuel injection nozzle (21) to combustion chamber (2); clearance
(28) communicating with the combustion chamber (2) between the fuel injection
orifice (25) of fuel injection nozzle (21) and an inlet of the fuel injection passage
(27); and water supply channel (26) disposed with a slope against the fuel injection
passage (27) so that the direction of water supply has a component of the injection
direction of fuel fed through the fuel injection passage (27).
