Abstract:
A nozzle body (20) has nozzle hoes (31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36) and a valve seat (306). A needle (40) restricts the flow of fuel through the nozzle holes when in contact with the valve seat and permits the flow of fuel through the nozzle holes when separated from the valve seat. The nozzle hole passages (310, 320, 330, 340, 350, 360) of the nozzle holes provide communication between inner openings (311, 321, 331, 341, 351, 361) and outer openings (312, 322, 332, 342, 352, 362). The cross-sectional area of the inner openings of the nozzle holes is less than the cross-sectional area of the outer openings of the nozzle holes. The needle moves in the valve closing direction to come in contact with the valve seat. First inner walls (335) of the nozzle holes are located on the valve closing direction side of the nozzle hole axes (HC31, HC32, HC33, HC34, HC35, HC36). Second inner walls (336) of the nozzle holes are located on the side opposite the valve closing direction side of the nozzle hole axes. The nozzle hole passages are formed from the first inner walls and the second inner walls.
