Abstract:
This fuel injection valve is provided with a needle (20) (valve body), a fixed core (13), a movable core, a first spring member (SP1) (spring member), a cap (50) (valve-closing force transmission member), and a guide member (60). The cap has a disc-shaped disc part (52), which comes into contact with the first spring member and the needle and transmits valve-closing elastic force to the needle, and a cylinder-shaped cylinder part (51), which extends toward a nozzle-hole side from the disc outer peripheral end of the disc part and urges the movable core toward the nozzle-hole side. The guide member has a sliding surface (61b), which causes an outer peripheral surface (51d) of the cylinder part to slide so as guide the movement of the cylinder part in an axial direction while restricting the movement in a diametrical direction. In the guide member is formed a recessed surface (60a), which joins to the opposite-nozzle-hole side of the sliding surface, and which has a shape recessed in a direction of diametrically widening the gap with the cap. Irregularity in the quantity of fuel injected can thereby be minimized while employing a core boost structure.
