Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a fuel injector that efficiently reduces fuel to fine particles of extremely small diameter by relatively simple means without needing any fuel preheating process to thereby attain not only a striking enhancement of combustion efficiency but also reduction of toxic combustion emission. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] There is provided a fuel injector having a liquid injection orifice for liquid injection, characterized in that the liquid injection orifice is composed of a first injection orifice for injecting a first liquid in filmy form and a second injection orifice for injecting a second liquid with a surface tension different from that of the first liquid in particulate form or filmy form, and that at least one of the first liquid and second liquid is a combustible liquid, and that the first injection orifice and the second injection orifice are arranged so as to cause the second liquid to collide with the first liquid.
