Abstract:
Disclosed is a fuel leak detection device (10) which is provided with a communication unit (28) for obtaining data associated with fuel filling of a fuel tank (35) from a vehicle side by using communication when a fuel supplying unit (18) is coupled to a filling port (30); a fuel flow measuring unit (26) for measuring the flow amount of fuel which flows into the fuel supplying unit (18), the fuel flow measuring unit (26) being located upstream of the fuel supplying unit (18); a fuel flow authorization unit (22) for authorizing or suspending fuel flow into the fuel supplying unit; and a control unit (24) for controlling the fuel flow authorization unit (22). The control unit (24) includes a fuel leak detection unit for detecting a fuel leak when filling fuel into a vehicle (14) on the basis of the amount of fuel flow obtained from the fuel flow measuring unit (26) and the data associated with fuel filling obtained from the vehicle side via the communication unit (28), wherein when the fuel leak detection unit detects the occurrence of fuel leak, the fuel flow authorization unit (22) suspends the flow of fuel into the fuel supplying unit (18).
