Abstract:
A fuel pump capable of suppressing the lowering of a discharge flow with high temperature characteristics. First and second plates (9) and (10) are fitted to a motor shaft (3) forming the fuel pump (1) so as to be opposed to each other. An impeller (11) is disposed in a clearance between the opposed first and second plates (9) and (10). A suction port (12) communicating with a ring-like recessed groove (10b) is formed in the second plate (10), and a swirl flow prevention surface (12b) orthogonal to the rotating direction of the impeller (11) is formed at the tip of the suction port (12) in the rotating direction of the impeller (11).
