Title:
FUEL REFORMING REACTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/002459
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A first fuel reforming reactor for reforming a hydrocarbon fuel into a gas rich in hydrogen, which uses, as at least a part of its constituent material, a material containing at least Cr, Ni and Si and having a composition in mass %: Cr: 15 to 25 %, Ni: 8 to 35 %, Si: 2 to 4 %, and balance: Fe and inevitable impurities such as C, Mn, P and S; and a second such fuel reforming reactor, which uses, as at least a part of its constituent material, a material containing at least Cr, Ni, Si and Nb and having a composition in mass %: Cr: 15 to 25 %, Ni: 8 to 35 %, Si: 2 to 4 %, Nb: 0.05 to 1 %, and balance: Fe and inevitable impurities such as C, Mn, P and S. The first fuel reforming reactor has good resistance to sigma phase embrittlement and carburization, is light in weight, can be manufactured at a low cost, and exhibits high reliability and a long useful life; and the second such fuel reforming reactor is improved in the resistance to oxidation, carburization and grain boundary corrosion, and exhibits further improved reliability and useful life.
