Title:
FUEL-SAVING POWER-TRANSMITTING APPARATUS THAT REUSES EXHAUST GAS FROM A VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/070773
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The apparatus of the present invention is characterized by comprising: a propeller shaft (3) receiving driving force from a transmission (2) that transmits driving force outputted by a vehicle engine (1); a gas intake pipe (10) including an exhaust pipe (4) through which exhaust gas discharged from the engine (1) is discharged, and formed in a bellows configuration and connected to one side of the exhaust pipe (4) such that exhaust gas can enter therein; a turbo device (20) connected, at one side thereof, to the gas intake pipe (10) so as to relay the exhaust gas that flows therein to the propeller shaft (3); and an outlet pipe (30) having an opposite side thereof connected to the turbo device (20) in order to discharge exhaust gas to the outside. By installing a gas intake pipe and turbo a device, which are easily installable on an exhaust pipe and propeller shaft of an existing vehicle so as to reuse discharged exhaust gas, not only can the power of a vehicle be increased and the fuel consumption of the vehicle significantly reduced, but environmental pollution can be reduced as well. Also included is an opening/closing valve, to which the gas intake pipe is connected, for opening and closing the flow of exhaust gas within the exhaust pipe, such that when the vehicle is operating, the valve can be operated safely even when the vehicle is stopped.
