Abstract:
When fuel is injected and supplied externally into a fuel containing section on the side of a fuel cell body where the remaining fuel is scarce in a direct methanol type fuel cell, fuel can be injected continuously a small quantity at a time. When fuel (CL) filling a fuel supply container (C) is injected into the fuel containing section (T) by being divided into a plurality of lots in order to prevent damage to an electromotive section by keeping a pressure in a fuel containing section below a constant level at fuel injecting, a fuel injection operation for injecting the fuel (CL) into the fuel containing section (T) by reducing the volume of the fuel supply container (C) and then sucking the atmospheric gas in the fuel containing section (T) when the volume is restored is repeated. Consequently, a continuous fuel injection operation can be attained without causing any trouble in fuel injection.
