Abstract:
This fuel supply device is equipped with a fuel tank, a fuel supply passage for supplying a fuel stored in the fuel tank, an electric shutoff valve that is disposed on the fuel supply passage and opens when electricity is applied thereto, and a control unit that controls the application of electricity to the shutoff valve. The control unit opens the shutoff valve by applying an opening drive current to the shutoff valve, said opening drive current being larger than a holding current for holding the valve in the open state. The control unit executes processing for prohibiting the application of electricity to the shutoff valve (step 110) on the basis of the history of the application of opening drive current to the shutoff valve within a retroactive period (step 100).
