Abstract:
This fuel device (1) supplies fuel from inside a fuel tank (2) to an internal combustion engine (3), and comprises: a lid (10) that can be attached to the upper wall (2a) of the fuel tank (2); a pump unit (20) that is placed on the bottom wall (2c) of the fuel tank (2) and that discharges fuel from inside the fuel tank (2) towards the internal combustion engine (3); and a connecting stanchion (30) that connects the lid (10) and the pump unit (20). The connecting stanchion (30) has an upper stanchion (32) that extends downwards from the lid (10), and a lower stanchion (31) stanchion that is mounted to the pump unit (20) and that engages with the upper stanchion (32) in such a manner as to be able to slide up and down. A specific location (Sc) of the lower stanchion (31) is provided with a stress concentrating part (313) that concentrates stress by reducing the section modulus.
