Title:
FUEL TANK STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/052020
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a fuel tank structure for a vehicle, which is configured such that: a fuel tank (6) is mounted on the vehicle (1) while at least the upper surface of the fuel tank (6) is tilted; and a liquid level detection device (9) is mounted within the fuel tank and detects the remaining amount of fuel. The fuel tank structure for a vehicle comprises: a liquid level detection sensor (90) constituting the liquid level detection device; and a float arm (92) having one end connected to the liquid level detection sensor (90) in a rockable manner and the other end having a float (93) mounted thereto. The float arm (92) is mounted to the liquid level detection sensor (90) so as to be vertically rockable according to a liquid level height within the fuel tank (6). The liquid level detection sensor (90) is configured to output an electric signal according to the rocking angle position of the float arm (92), the electric signal corresponding to the liquid level height. The fuel tank (6) is provided with a bulge (65) formed by bulging the upper surface of the fuel tank (6). The maximum liquid level Lh to be detected by the liquid level detection sensor (90) is set within a recess (66) formed in the inner surface of the bulge (65). As a result of this configuration, the float arm can move through a sufficient rocking angle without restriction by the shape of the float arm, thereby enabling the accurate detection of the remaining amount of fuel.
