Abstract:
This fuel vapor processing device may comprise a canister, a purge passage through which passes purge gas fed from the canister to an intake passage, a pump that feeds the purge gas to the intake passage, a control valve that switches between a connected state in which the canister and intake passage are connected via a purge passage, and a shut-off state in which the canister and intake passage are shut-off on the purge passage, a branched passage that branches off from the purge passage on the upstream end, and on the downstream end merges with the purge passage at a different position from the upstream end, a pressure specifying unit that is positioned on the branched passage, that has a small-diameter part which allows the passage of purge gas within the branched passage, and which specifies the pressure differential before and after the small-diameter part for purge gas that passes through the small-diameter part, an air-fuel ratio sensor that is positioned on the exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine, and an estimation unit that estimates a first flowrate of a purge gas fed out by the pump, using the fuel vapor concentration within purge gas estimated using the air-fuel ratio obtained from the air-fuel ratio sensor, and the pressure difference specified by the pressure specifying unit.
