Abstract:
In order to prevent the available problems regarding gate valve rusting, corrosion and sedimentation, an full-polymer gate valve is designed which has a much higher resistance toward corrosion and rusting while being used for fluid flow switching. Furthermore, when a gate valve is needed to be buried deep in the ground, the valve is connected to the gate valve with a long handle for fluid flow switching and we do not need to dig a special hole for switching flow. Meanwhile, pipe connection to the gate valve is designed directly in different manners and no kind of adaptor is separately required while connecting the pipes.

FULL-POLYMER GATE VALVE WITH THE POSSIBILITY TO BE CONNECTED TO DIFFERENT KINDS OF POLY ETHYLENE PIPES AND WATER-SUPPLY SYSTEM

FITTINGS AND USEABLE WITH A LONG HANDLE

CLAIMS

1. Full -polymer gate valve with the possibility to be connected to different kinds of poly ethylene pipes and water-supply system fittings and useable with a long handle

2. Full -polymer gate valve according to claim 1, in a way that all of the different connections can be connected to the valve directly and without any intermediate

3. Full-polymer gate valve according to claim 2, all of the segments are changeable and each of them is able to be changed into the other by changing only one piece

4. Full -polymer gate valve according to claim 1, the required parts for connecting the polymer gate valve to polyethylene pipe are represented:

a. O-Ring sealing fitting for polyethylene pipe

b. The Retainer Bushing for placing O-Ring suitably in the considered spot c. Split ring for holding poly ethylene stable inside the gate valve, inside which is jagged for this purpose. After installing cap bolt, these jags are involved with the pipe and prevent it from being exited

d. Cap bolt for installing the mentioned parts on the gate valve and holding them stable

5. Full -polymer gate valve according to claim 1, the required parts for connecting polymer gate valve to female threaded fittings:

a. O-Ring sealing for connection with female threaded fittings

b. Threated outlet for connecting to female threaded fittings

c. The nut for installing and keeping the parts stable on the gate valve

6. Full -polymer gate valve according to claim 1, the required parts for connecting polymer gate valve to male threaded fittings:

a. O-Ring sealing for connecting to male threaded fittings

b. The threaded inlet for connecting to male threaded fittings

Full -polymer gate valve according to claim 1, the required parts for connecting polymer gate valve to fittings and pipes with flanged fittings are illustrated:

a. The O-Ring sealing for connecting to fittings and pipes with flanged fittings b. The nut for installing and keeping the parts stable on the gate valve

c. The male welded interface for connecting to polymer flanged interface d. The polymer flange for connecting to the fittings and pipes with flanged fittings e. Flanged metal ring

f. The flange sealing gasket

g. flanged fittings for installing the valve on fittings and flanged pipes

Full -polymer gate valve according to claim 1, long handle bonnet cap which is replaced for short handle bonnet cap in short handle valves is used for increasing the length of valve lever and provides the possibility of installing long handle on the gate valve. Aluminum tube is installed on long handle bonnet cap which is considered as long handle lever on the gate valve.

Full -polymer gate valve according to claim 1, polymer pipe (cover pipe) is a segment which has been installed on the bonnet cap as aluminum cover tube. Duster is placed above polymer pipe which is used for holding the aluminum tube in the middle of cover pipe. Handle wheel is mounted on the aluminum tube and finally iron bolt is installed to tighten handle wheel on the aluminum tube.

DESCRIPTION

Field of the Invention

The Field of this invention is related to producing full-polymer gate valve able to be connected to the pipes and fluid transfer fittings directly and without intermediate.

Technical Problem

The noteworthy technical problems regarding this invention are divided into different parts. The first technical problem to be checked is using metal gate valves in fluid transfer pipe fittings which constantly face a problem of rusting, sedimentation and corrosion. This problem is aggravated when the gate valve is buried under the ground. On the other hand, when the gate valve is buried deep in the ground and switching current is required by gate valve, then a special hole needs to be dug in order to access gate valve operator which leads to various problems. The other technical problem for this invention is the necessity to use adaptors in order to connect the gate valve to all of the pipes and fittings which influences the time , cost and quality of the project.

Description of the Prior

Regarding this design, some samples are available which most of their parts are plastic but none of which is completely made of polymer. Moreover, no gate valve is designed for situations in which the gate valve is buried under the ground so that it could solve the problem of special hole construction. Moreover, In order to connect different pipes to the gate valve, different adaptors are required to be used for which no specific gate valve is designed to deal with the problem. Furthermore, when a gate valve is needed to be buried deep in the ground, the valve is connected to the gate valve with a long handle for fluid flow switching and we do not need to dig a special hole for switching current. Meanwhile, pipe connection to the gate valve is designed directly in different manners and no kind of adaptor is separately required while connecting the pipes.

Detailed description of Figure:

In figure 1 the parts that are constantly used in all of the gate valves are available. These parts are also available in the samples of gate valve. 1. Body

In figure 2, the required parts for connecting the polymer gate valve to poly ethylene pipe are represented. 10 is the O-Ring sealing fitting for poly ethylene pipe, 11 is the Retainer Bushing for placing O-Ring suitably in the considered spot. 12 is split ring for holding poly ethylene stable inside the gate valve, inside which is jagged for this purpose. After installing cap bolt, these jags are involved with the pipe and prevent it from being exited. 13 is cap bolt for installing the mentioned parts on the gate valve and holding them stable.

In figure 3, the required parts for connecting polymer gate valve to female threaded fittings are observed. 14 is O-Ring sealing for connection with female threaded fittings. 15 is threated outlet for connecting to female threaded fittings. 16 is the nut for installing and keeping the parts stable on the gate valve.

In figure 4, the required parts for connecting polymer gate valve to male threaded fittings are seen. 17 is O-Ring sealing for connecting to male threaded fittings. 18 is the threaded inlet for connecting to male threaded fittings. 19 is the nut for installing and keeping the parts stable on the gate valve.

In figure 5, the required parts for connecting the polymer gate valve to welded fittings and pipes are seen. 20 is the O-Ring sealing for connecting to welded fittings and pipes. 21 is the welded interface for connecting to welded fittings and pipes. 22 is the nut for installing and keeping the parts stable on the gate valve.

In figure 6, the required parts for connecting polymer gate valve to fittings and pipes with flange fittings are illustrated. 23 is the O-Ring sealing for connecting to fittings and pipes with flanged fittings. 24 is the nut for installing and keeping the parts stable on the gate valve. 25 is flanged fittings for installing the valve on fittings and flanged pipes. In figure 6A, the required parts for connecting polymer gate valve to fittings and pipes with flanged fittings are seen in a sliced way. 26 is the O-Ring sealing for connecting to fittings and pipes with flanged fittings. 24 is the nut for installing and keeping the parts stable on the gate valve. 27 is the male welded interface for connecting to polymer flanged interface. 28 is the polymer flange for connecting to the fittings and pipes with flanged fittings. 29 is flanged metal ring. 30 is the flange sealing gasket.

As it is presented in figures 2 t 6, the users can install the side connection parts on the valve and get the best use of it. So, the user:

1- Can install 10, 11, 12 and 13 parts on valve for connecting poly ethylene pipe.

2- Can install 14, 15 and 16 parts on the body for connecting the valve to the threaded connections and weld (15, 18 and 21 are used for male thread connection, female thread connection and weld connection, respectively)

3- For connecting the valve to the flanged fittings 23, 24 and 25 are used.

The user or installer can choose the desired condition by changing 15, 18, 21 and 25 according to the fact that the thread is inlet, outlet, weld or flange. The most important advantage is that the variety of product is minimized in the production company which results in the reduction of costs.

In figure 7, long handle bonnet cap 31 which is replaced for short handle bonnet cap 7 in short handle valves is used for increasing the length of valve lever and provides the possibility of installing long handle on the gate valve. Aluminum tube 32 is installed on long handle bonnet cap which is considered as long handle lever on the gate valve.

In this figure, 33 polymer pipe (cover pipe) is a segment which has been installed on the bonnet cap as aluminum cover tube and prevents the problems like a strike or the entrance of soil into the long handle bonnet cap. 34 duster is placed above polymer pipe which is used for holding the aluminum tube in the middle of cover pipe. 35 handle wheel is mounted on the duster and aluminum tube and finally 36 iron bolt is installed to tighten handle wheel on the aluminum tube.

The benefits of the invention

6- high resistance against corrosion, rusting and decay

7- omission of valve special hole (the special hole to access the valve) if required

A method for using the invention

This invention is used for the situations in which gate valve is required to connect to the water pipelines. It means that the gate valve available in this invention is installed on the pipe and other water connection systems directly and without any intermediate. If we need to provide the possibility of switching current flow in the pipe that is placed under the ground, this invention helps to do it with a lower cost. Moreover, considering the fact that the main parts of this invention are full-polymer, it has a high resistance against humidity, rusting and sedimentation.
