Description:
A FUNCTIONAL MASK PROVIDING FULL PROTECTION

Field of The Invention:

The present invention relates to a functional mask providing full protection in the medical industry that can protect people from respiratory epidemics.

State of the Art:

Epidemics have been one of humanity's greatest fears throughout history. While not only an ancient fear, epidemics are one of the leading dystopian scenarios in future disastrous scenarios.

Although many of the diseases that have been the cause of major epidemics in the past have been overcome by scientific developments and vaccination, many modern epidemics continue to be the fearful dream of humanity.

We share every corner of our planet with other creatures. These include bacteria, microbes and viruses that are microscopic in scale. There are those who helped us create what we eat and help us, but there are also those who can bring our end. Even now, we have malignant bacteria and germs on our bodies, hands, and mouth. For instance, the probability of carrying deadly staphylococcus bacteria is 25 percent. These bacteria may not harm you, but if you take it from someone else, you may lose your life.

Our immune system and the possibilities of today's medicine are enough to protect us, but these micro-organisms have been living in the world for much longer than us and are more stable and stable than us in maintaining their lineage.

Various diseases spread throughout the history of humanity from past to present, threatening human race. The effects of microorganisms, whose history is thought to go much earlier than human history, to the individual, social, cultural and economic fields of humanity are far beyond our estimates. The diseases caused by these small creatures and the epidemic diseases that emerged with the rapid spread of these diseases in human communities have caused mass deaths and radical changes of some political and social structures throughout the history. In the historical process; It is known that infectious diseases such as plague, smallpox, typhus, typhoid, cholera, influenza, malaria cause epidemics and many people die. Mankind has not been able to recognize and define these small creatures, which sometimes cause slow and sometimes rapid death, and sometimes threaten all humanity, for centuries.

The introduction of the theory of germ has been a turning point, and antibiotics, a very effective weapon in the fight against microbes, have begun to be used by mankind who can now define the enemy. Despite the development of many defense methods by humanity after the discovery of microbes, epidemic diseases continue to be a threat to humanity, especially in times when social conditions such as hygiene and living conditions worsen that cause the weakening of the human immune system.

Today, the greatest measure to combat infectious diseases is personal hygiene. Washing hands at frequent intervals, using cleaners such as disinfectant in personal hygiene are preventive factors in the transmission of diseases. Although hygiene is effective against epidemic diseases, the most effective measure against respiratory diseases is wearing a mask. Various types of masks are available today. The most protective of these masks is the 95% protection masks called N95. However, it is almost impossible to obtain such masks during epidemic periods. Health workers use such masks. Other people who want to be protected from the disease wear 3 -layer surgical masks. These masks are disposable. The prolonged epidemic periods also make it difficult to reach these masks.

Turkish Patent Number 2020/05460 issued on Apr. 06, 2020, discloses a protective mask. The invention relates to a body and a protective mask having at least one air duct to provide air intake into said body. It comprises at least one air corridor extending from said air duct into the body and at least one UVC lamp and at least one UVC laser to clean the air to pass through said air corridor. Turkish Patent Number 2018/20307 issued on Dec. 25, 2020, discloses a aromatized mouth and nose mask. It consists of applying all kinds of food dyes, food flavors, sauces, extracts and vegetable oils to some or all of the masks produced from all kinds of fiber fabrics. With this mask, it is ensured that the bad smell in the environment is suppressed, breathing a pleasant smell, and working with pleasure in a more comfortable environment while being protected from infections or viruses.

Protective masks are mentioned in the utility model / patent applications described above. The product described in the patent application which was numbered TR2020/05460 is suitable for professionals and it is not possible to use it daily. The product described in the utility model application TR2018/20307 is quite insufficient in protection and is no different from standard masks. In addition, these products provide protection against virus ingress only through the mouth and nose. These products are disadvantageous in terms of cost.

As a result, it is a product that can overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages, provide effective protection against harmful microorganisms, has a filter and replaceable pocket system, able to protect the eye part from harmful microorganisms, practical, easy to use, a product that everyone can reach, has a long usage time, antibacterial, is durable and low-cost technology is needed.
