Abstract:
This functional resin body production method reduces the transmittance through a resin body of the wavelength range in the blue region. The method comprises: a first step of coating onto a base body a functional dye, which is sublimable and is a merocyanine-based functional dye that absorbs light in the blue region, to acquire a function-adding base body; a second step of bringing a resin body face-to-face with the function-adding base body acquired through the first step, and heating the function-adding base body, thereby sublimating the functional dye and causing the functional dye to adhere onto the resin body; and a third step of heating the resin body whereon the functional dye has been adhered through the second step, thereby fixing the functional dye onto the resin body. The method adds to the resin body a function causing visible transmittance to be 75% or greater, and the mean transmittance in the blue region wavelength range to be 10% or lower.
