Abstract:
Provided is a functional safety device for a frequency converter, the functional safety device comprising: a measurement module (1), which is connected to an electric motor and is used for measuring working parameters of the electric motor; and a functional safety module (2), which is arranged outside a frequency converter and is respectively connected to the measurement module (1) and the frequency converter, wherein the functional safety module is used for determining, according to the working parameters of the electric motor and working parameters of the frequency converter that are sent by the frequency converter, whether the frequency converter satisfies a preset functional safety trigger condition, and if so, triggering a functional safety operation of the frequency converter. The functional safety device and a frequency converter product are respectively arranged independent of each other, and a relationship wherein same share some software and hardware modules therebetween is not present, thereby reducing the design difficulty and design upgrading difficulty of a frequency converter product, and the flexibility being high.
