Abstract:
The present invention relates to a functional shoe having expandable and compressible airbags between toes, which may be useful when a user is barefoot or is wearing toe socks. More particularly, the functional shoe having expandable and compressible airbags between toes is configured in such a manner that when a foot lands on the ground during walking, first of all, a second airbag disposed on the bottom of the sole of the foot absorbs shocks and, at the same time, this external pressure pushes the air inside the second airbag into a first airbag through an air connection passage and apertures that are located between the first airbag and the second airbag, thereby expanding and increasing the volume of the first airbag so as to create space between the toes; and when the sole of a shoe is lifted and thus the parts between toes are pressed inwardly, the air having been kept in the first airbag flows out and then flows into the second airbag, thereby compressing and decreasing the volume of the first airbag. Therefore, as the volumes of the first and second airbags repeatedly increase or decrease during walking, those repetitive lateral expansions and compressions of the first airbag provide the effects of massage or acupuncture. Also, with the first and second airbags, one can straighten toes, promote blood circulation and energy flow and exercise toes, thereby leading to the improvement of toe functions and the stimulation of toes as a supplementary therapy for enhancing health.
