Abstract:
Provided is a fundus information acquisition method that makes it possible to use a simple optical system to perform observation and photography without the need for an imaging unit to be precisely positioned relative to an eye under examination, even when the eye under examination is far away. According to the present invention, a fundus information acquisition method involves an infinity-corrected optical system that uses an imaging unit that is opposite an objective lens that is opposite the fundus of an eye under examination to form, as a portion of a fundus image for the eye under examination, an image of light that has passed through the objective lens from a region of the cornea and the lens of the eye under examination that is defined by at least the area of the pupil of the eye under examination.
