Abstract:
Provided is a technology with which, while effecting a reduction of examination time in ophthalmology, it is possible to provide objective data for central administration. A fundus oculi observation device according to an embodiment comprises an optical assembly, an image forming unit, an identification unit, a correspondence information generation unit, and an evaluation information generation unit. The optical assembly segments light from the light source into a signal light and a reference light, superpositions the signal light which is routed via the fundus oculi of an eye being examined with the reference light which is routed via a reference light path, generating a coherent light, and detects the coherent light. The image forming unit forms a tomographic image of the fundus oculi on the basis of the result of the detection of the coherent light. By analyzing the tomographic image, the identification unit identifies an anomalous region located near the central fovea of the fundus oculi. The correspondence information generation unit computes the distance between the central fovea and the anomalous region, and generates correspondence information with which the direction and distance from the central fovea to the anomalous region are associated. The evaluation information generation unit generates evaluation information for evaluating the state of the fundus oculi on the basis of the correspondence information.
