Abstract:
Provided are furnace bed bricks for molten iron production furnaces, the bricks having excellent molten iron resistance and hydration resistance. These furnace bed bricks for molten iron production furnaces have a mineral composition that includes: 40 to 95 mass% of corundum; 5 to 60 mass% or less of one or more types of AlN polymorphous sialon selected from 2Hδ type, 27R type, and 21R type; 5 mass% or less (including 0) of AlN; and 3 mass% or less (including 0) of Si3N4. A matrix part includes 5 mass% or more of the AlN polymorphous sialon.
