Abstract:
A furnace-wall structure of a plant device and a method of cleaning the furnace wall are provided, whereby a deposit adherent to the inner-wall surface of the plant device can be easily removed when the device is stopped working for a periodic inspection, or the like.  The furnace-wall structure is for a plant device in which ash, flying ash, clinker, or the like deposits on the surface of a metallic inner wall.  The structure is obtained by forming a coating film on the surface of the metallic inner wall of the plant device by coating the inner-wall surface beforehand with a coating material which, upon wetting by water, chemically changes to become removable from the boundary of the metallic wall.  Thereafter, water is sprayed over a deposit which has adhered to the coating film formed from the coating material, and the deposit is thereby made removable from the inner-wall surface of the plant device.
