Abstract:
Large volumetric bulk wood or woody material is placed in a furnace in a batch manner, so that only a necessary amount of the material is combusted over a long period of time, and the smoke exhaust is cleaned.
Firewood (M) or the like used as a fuel is placed vertically in a furnace chamber (1), and is combusted from the upper portion to the lower portion thereof. Combustion air is supplied to the furnace chamber (1) having an airtightness of 0 to 100% by an electromagnetic valve (11), so that the air quantity in the furnace chamber reaches a value suitable for a maximum combustion mode, a dormant mode, a re-ignition mode, or a fire-extinguishing mode. The concentration of the smoke exhaust from the furnace chamber (1) is detected by an optical sensor (45), and an auxiliary burner (12) is controlled on the basis of the detected signal. Further, the temperature within a hot air passage (30) heated by an heat exchanger (31) is detected by a temperature sensor (38), and the opening degree of dampers (35, 36, 37) for sucking outside air is automatically controlled on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor (38). Thus, the temperature of the hot air discharged through a discharge port (40) is controlled.
