Abstract:
This furniture 1 with a top plate is provided with: a furniture main body provided with a top plate 2, and a supporter 5 that supports the top plate 2; a sensor unit 11 which is provided on the furniture main body and outputs a manipulation signal in response to a manipulation on the top plate 2; and a control unit 15 that generates a control signal on the basis of the manipulation signal. The control unit 15 has: a manipulation permission determination unit 152 that determines, on the basis of the manipulation signal, whether a permission pattern, which is a manipulation pattern comprising a plurality of preset manipulation signals, has been received, and that outputs permission information if the permission pattern has been manipulated; an information receiving unit 153 that receives the manipulation signal, indicating a manipulation for activating an activation unit of the top plate 2, when the manipulation permission determination unit 152 outputs the permission information; and a control signal generation unit 154 that outputs a control signal to the activation unit on the basis of the manipulation signal received by the information receiving unit 153.
