Abstract:
A fuse device and a fuse wire element (20) thereof. The fuse wire element (20) is formed as a hollow cylinder. A first end opening (21) and a second end opening (22) are formed at two opposite ends of the fuse wire element (20), respectively. The fuse wire element (20) is provided with through holes (24), and narrow connection portions are formed on the fuse wire element (20) at the locations of the through holes (24) to form melt breaking portions (25) of the fuse wire element (20). By means of forming the fuse wire element (20) as a hollow cylinder and providing the multiple narrow connection portions, the present invention enables a larger cross-sectional area, adopting a cylindrical shape for the fuse wire element (20) to increase a rated current. In addition, the cylindrical structure also improves the structural strength of the narrow connection portions, and enables filling of an arc suppression material (50) within and on the exterior of the fuse wire element (20), thus ensuring safety during use of the fuse device comprising the fuse wire element (20).
