Abstract:
1) A fused gene characterized by comprising a nucleic acid sequence that affects the biosynthesis or accumulation of a neutral lipid, and a phosphorus deficiency-responsive expression control sequence that is operably linked to the nucleic acid sequence and controls the expression of the nucleic acid sequence. 2) A transgenic plant characterized by containing the fused gene. 3) A method for manufacturing a vegetable fat or oil, characterized by comprising a cultivation step for cultivating the transgenic plant. 4) A method for manufacturing a vegetable fat or oil, characterized in that, in the cultivation step, the transgenic plant is cultivated under phosphorus-deficient conditions.
