Abstract:
Disclosed is a fused ring compound having a structure as represented in formula (I) or formula (II). In the fused ring compound, the effective conjugation of an aromatic ring and a heterocyclic ring is controlled, which is beneficial to balancing the electron transport performance of same at the same time as improving the hole performance thereof. The compound has a high triplet state energy level and a high glass transition temperature. Material molecules thereof are not easily crystallized. As the host material of a light-emitting layer, same can ensure the efficient transfer of energy to a guest material. By adjusting substituent groups on the fused ring compound, the electron transport performance and the hole transport performance are further improved, the difference between singlet and triplet state energy levels is reduced, a carrier recombination region is broadened, and triplet state exciton quenching is avoided. Further disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device, wherein at least one functional layer contains the fused ring compound, and the fused ring compound serves as a host material of a light-emitting layer to match the energy level of an adjacent carrier transport layer. The driving voltage of the device is lowered while the light-emitting efficiency of the device is improved.
