Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a fusion prevention structure for a refractory material, the fusion prevention structure making it possible for a graphite-containing refractory material to which an antioxidant is applied to be coated using a coating agent having a glass transition point higher than that of the antioxidant, and making it possible to prevent vitrified antioxidant from mutually fusing with vitrified antioxidant on the surface of another graphite-containing refractory material. [Solution] This fusion prevention structure for a refractory material is configured by disposing an oxidation-resistant layer 11 that includes an antioxidant having a glass transition point of 500°C or higher on the surface of a graphite-containing refractory material 10, and disposing a fusion prevention layer 12 that includes a coating agent having a glass transition point of 1600°C or higher on the surface of the oxidation resistant layer, the fusion prevention structure being such that, when the graphite-containing refractory material is installed in a high-temperature environment at 500°C or higher, the vitrified oxidation-resistant layer is covered by the solid fusion prevention layer. Thus, even when in contact with each other, components made from a graphite-containing refractory material can easily be separated from each other after cooling.
