Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a gain adjustment method and an optical fiber amplifier. The gain adjustment method is applicable to the optical fiber amplifier, and the optical fiber amplifier at least comprises: a gain medium, a dynamic gain equalizer, and a control unit. The method is executed by the control unit. The method comprises: determining a property parameter of the gain medium and a current attenuation spectral pattern of the dynamic gain equalizer; determining, from a preset gain attenuation spectral pattern database, a gain attenuation spectral pattern mapping table corresponding to the property parameter, wherein the gain attenuation spectral pattern mapping table comprises a mapping relationship between every gain of the optical fiber amplifier and one attenuation spectral pattern of the dynamic gain equalizer; acquiring a target gain of the optical fiber amplifier; determining, according to the target gain, a target attenuation spectral pattern from the gain attenuation spectral pattern mapping table; and adjusting the current attenuation spectral pattern to be the target attenuation spectral pattern.
