Abstract:
In monitoring as in a stratum disposal field for wastes, running tubes (10-14) installed in the vicinity of a gallery (4) or disposal holes (6), in a nearby rock bed (B), or within a gallery support (D) or buffer members (C) in the disposal holes (6) have installed therein a movable monitoring device (20) provided with various sensors, a water sampling device and the like. With this device (20) being moved or fixed in a predetermined position, measurement of the temperature, displacement, strain, stress and underground water of rock bed, gallery support or disposal space buffer members is effected, measurement of the clearances in rock bed, gallery support back or disposal space buffer members is effected, and the sampling of underground water in the rock bed, gallery support or buffer members is effected, thus reducing the number of sensors, drilled holes, and communications cables to facilitate the exchange or maintenance of sensors, communications cables and the like. Further, the data measured by a monitoring device (51) embedded in the buffer member (C) or the like is transmitted by radio to a movable data collecting device (50) in the running tube, or the data measured by the monitoring device (50) is transmitted by radio to a management device disposed on the ground or somewhere else via a relay (61).
