Provided are a game controller, a game control method, a program, a recording medium and a game system with which the curiosity or interest of users in being friends can be increased while avoiding frequent exchanges between friends. This game controller is provided with: a registration means for registering users when a service regarding the execution of a first game concerning the users starts; an acquisition means for acquiring user selection information indicating a user who has been selected by a first user from among users associated with the first user in a game other than the first game; and a granting means for granting privileges to the first user when the registration means has registered the first user and the user selected by the first user, after the user selection information has been acquired.
