Abstract:
A game device is provided with: a game control unit which controls the progress of a competitive-type game between users by carrying out a predetermined computation process on the basis of first instruction information corresponding to a first user and second instruction information corresponding to a second user; a setting information acquisition unit which acquires setting information for carrying out the computation process, the setting information being based on the operation input from the users before starting the competitive-type game; a reception unit which generates the first instruction information on the basis of the operation input of the first user after the competitive-type game starts; and a second instruction information generation unit which generates the second instruction information. The game control unit controls the progress of the competitive-type game on the basis of the setting information corresponding to the first user and the first instruction information generated by means of the reception unit, and the setting information corresponding to the second user acquired by means of the setting information acquisition unit and the second instruction information generated by means of the second instruction information generation unit.
