Abstract:
With respect to a game machine controller to be used in conjunction with a mouse and connected to a game machine, the present invention provides an improvement to the game machine controller such that input feels less unnatural to the user. As shown in (A), a game machine controller 1 and a mouse 2 are connected to a game machine 3 via an output cable 172 and a mouse cable 210 respectively. The signal output from the game machine controller 1 to the game machine 3 is a keyboard control signal, which would generally have been output to the game machine 3 from a keyboard. The game machine 3 thus recognizes the game machine controller 1 as a keyboard. Consequently, the game machine 3 is capable of receiving and recognizing WASD input of up, down, left, and right directions from the game machine controller 1 and input of directions not limited to up, down, left, and right from the mouse 2.
