Abstract:
A game machine in which the visibility of identification information of a rotary reel is enhanced by illuminating the outer circumferential surface of the rotary reel uniformly. An illumination unit (20) comprises a tubular protective cover (22) made of a light transmitting material and secured to the back of a front door, and a cold-cathode tube (21) having opposed ends contained in the protective cover (22) and supported by a supporting member (26) and capable of illuminating the outer circumferential surface of the rotary reel with light transmitted through the protective cover (22). The protective cover (22) is mixed with a diffusion material and a dye capable of developing a color corresponding to the color temperature of the cold-cathode tube (21). Furthermore, an irregular portion (22a) is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the protective cover (22) along the longitudinal direction.
