Abstract:
A game system provided with an operation evaluation unit 54 for evaluating an operation by a user on the basis of whether or not there is detected an operation in which the amounts of deviation of position and time are within an evaluation range, the game system including a plurality of unit operations in which the position and timing gradually change from a prescribed start operation until a terminating operation, and furthermore enabling an indication of continuous operation in which the evaluation ranges overlap each other between the unit operations, wherein: the operation evaluation unit 54 has provided therein a continuous operation determination unit 54a for determining whether or not the user has succeeded in each unit operation on the basis of whether or not the operation in which the amounts of deviation of position and time are within the evaluation range is detected for each unit operation, and a direction determination unit 54b that, when an operation in an intermediate region of the continuous operation is detected, refers to the position of an operation preceding that operation and determines the direction of a change of an operation position of the user; and the game system determines the success or failure of unit operations, where a success is determined when the determined direction matches an indicated direction.
