Abstract:
A first game controller usable by both a first game device and a second game device transmits operation data relating thereto using a data format having a first data area including a header, a second data area including key data, and a third data area including data relating to an extended controller. A second game controller usable by the first game device also uses the data format having the three data areas, but the second data area is only reserved, and all operation information is transmitted while being included in the third data area.
