A game system in which the player of a terminal whose communication is cut can resume the game from the game situation at the communication cut. A game system (GS) for performing a game which progresses according to an input operation by a player (P) includes a server (1). The server (1) has game continuing means (12) for continuing the game even if a terminal fails while excluding the error terminal and server resuming means (12) for transmitting situation information on each player as resume information to the terminal if the communication is recovered and resuming the game only by the communication with the error terminal. The error terminal (2) has terminal resuming means (24) for resuming the game depending on state information included in the resume information after the communication recovery and virtual input operation means (24) functioning as a virtual player (P’) in place of the player (P) of another terminal.
