Provided is a game system in which a game can be played by means of an information card in place of a conventional paper system. The game system is comprised of a bill identification device that is set to correspond to each game machine, identifies different currency bills and an amount of money thereof and outputs data indicative of an identified result; a player tracking device that is integrated into each of the gaming machines, converts the data outputted from the bill identification device into credit data for the execution of the game in accordance with a currency exchange rate, and transmits the credit data to the gaming machine; and an information card device that is integrated into the player tracking device, makes the information card store data corresponding to an amount of money granted to the player in accordance with a game result of the gaming machine, and transmits the credit data for the execution of the game to the gaming machine in accordance with data corresponding to the amount of money read from the information card.
