Provided is a gaming system capable of reflecting wishes of users in relation to matchings directed at specific players. The present invention is a gaming system, which is provided with a matching processing unit that allows each of users at a respective plurality of gaming apparatuses to participate in the same game within a scope of a predetermined number of people. A privilege of selecting and voting for a candidate who each user desires to play the same game together from among a plurality of candidates who can participate in the same game via the matching processing unit is imparted to each of the user each time that a predetermined privilege imparting condition is satisfied. In exchange for consumption of the privilege, the users are allowed to select candidates so as to vote therefor, whereupon candidates for whom each of the users have voted and the number of votes therefor are recorded as vote information. If the candidates are to participate in the same game, on the basis of magnitudes of the numbers of votes that have been recorded in the vote information for each user with regard to the candidates, users with more votes are prioritized in matching with the candidates.
