Abstract:
A gamma-ray-resistant, flexible vinyl chloride molded article produced by molding a vinyl chloride copolymer resin composition comprising, as the main component, a vinyl chloride copolymer resin which is produced by copolymerizing a vinyl monomer and a macromonomer having a main chain comprising a polymer made of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a double bond therein. In the copolymerization of the vinyl monomer (A) and the macromonomer (B), these components are used at the (A)/(B) ratio ranging from 80 wt%/20 wt% to 60 wt%/40 wt%. The molded article exhibits less discoloration upon irradiation with gamma-ray without the loss of moldability and transparency inherent in vinyl chloride resins.
