Abstract:
The present invention relates to a gap-filling microlens array arranged on one surface of an optical substrate so as to be divided into basic lenses and sub-lenses, and the shapes of the respective base sides of the basic lenses and the sub-lenses are the same as or different from any one from among a polygonal shape, a circular shape, an oval shape, and an atypical shape and are an aspherical shape satisfying the sag profile of formula (1) below, the basic lenses and the sub-lenses have the same ratio of a pitch size to a sag value as in formula (2) below, the basic lenses are randomly arranged so as to have a part overlapping with an adjacent basic lens, the maximum length of opening parts between the basic lenses in x- and y-axis directions is 1-20% of the maximum pitch size of the basic lenses in the x- and y-axis directions, the sub-lenses are arranged in the opening parts, and the maximum length in the x- and y-axis directions of parts overlapping with adjacent basic lenses and the sub-lenses is 1-20% of the maximum pitch size of the sub-lenses in the x- and y-axis directions.
