Description:
GARAGE STORAGE BOX

The subject of the invention is a box, especially a garage box, installed in garages, kitchens, storages, utility rooms, etc. for different storing items.

Garage boxes, also called cabinets or garage lockers, are very popular. They are equipped with shelves with trunks for storing, among others, car tires, tourist equipment, suitcases, and even bikes and prams. Such boxes have a defined loading capacity, and the disadvantage of known solutions is that it is not possible to adjust their height and position to the surroundings. Such solutions are usually mounted under the ceiling of the garage, and they are above the hood of the parked car. This solution seems to be very convenient, but it causes many problems for users, such as difficult access to the box, because the box is very high or because of the risk of damaging the car against the wardrobe in case of accidentally parking backwards.

It is known from the publication of the Polish description of the utility model PL126552U1, a free-standing garage cabinet, used in garage halls of residential buildings. A garage cabinet has a form of a rectangular body and a frame and swing door. The body has a frame in which side walls, a bottom wall, an upper wall and a rear wall are mounted. At least one inner wall is perforated over its entire surface.

It is known from the publication of the Polish description of the invention PL410465A1 a workbench, the worktop of which has a rear wall surmounted by a photovoltaic casing panel and equipped with a swivel mounting bracket for embedding a tablet. The workbench is additionally equipped with a card reader, and a power supply unit. The swivel mounting fixture for the tablet has a dispenser and a pivot arm and a shaped member. A garage cabinet is known from the publication of the utility model CN2465572Y, which is mounted on a parking space and contains a bracket fixed to the body of the cabinet. The jaw opening of the cabinet body is equipped with a sliding door, additionally equipped with a lock. There is a lamp inside the body of the cabinet and the switch of which is connected to the sliding door. The cabinet body is equipped with an electronic detection device preventing the vehicle from being parked incorrectly.

A cabinet installed in a parking space is known from the publication of the description of the utility model CN204861995U. The cabinet comprises a bracket on which the hermetic storage tank is mounted, together with a front panel of the tank compartment door for opening and closing. The upper part of the compartment door passes through a hinge and is attached to the roof of the side wall of the storage tank.

A garage cabinet equipped with legs adjustable in height, to which anti-skid pads are attached is known from the publication of the utility model CN207027456U. The disadvantage of this solution is that the height adjustment of the garage cabinet's box is performed to a small extent, by adjusting the length of the cabinet's legs.

The aim of the invention is to solve the technical problem of limited access to boxes that are mounted high, usually directly in the space under the ceiling.

The invention provides a box, especially a garage one has a cuboid cabinet to which the legs are attached. The essence of the inventions is in that the legs of the box attached to the cuboid cabinet include a fixed guide in the form of a U-shaped section, on which the movable guide is slid over, and the movable guide is attached to the side walls of the cabinet, and between the side walls of the movable guide and the side walls of the fixed guide, balls are embedded in the channels, and between the pairs of guides there is a mechanism for adjusting their mutual position.

Preferably, to each of the legs of the box, feet are attached perpendicularly to each other, which are connected to the legs through a connector and by means of turnbuckles, the feet in legs axis are connected by a threshold.

It is good when the left and right movable guides have fastened upper mountings of the actuators, and in the feet, there are fastened lower mountings of the actuators, which mountings and the actuator are coaxial and are covered with guides, the actuator is in the form of a hydraulic actuator and in one of the feet there is a flow divider for even distribution oil pressure to two actuators mounted in the legs, whereby the upper mountings of the actuators are rectangular plates which are screwed to the movable guides and side walls of the cabinet, and the lower mounting of the actuators are pins inserted through the lugs of the actuators and holes in the feet and holes in the fixed guides, while the actuators are connected to the pump, which is installed on one side of the cabinet, while at the pump side a manometer is installed for controlling and monitoring the pressure of the hydraulic fluid.

Equally good, inside the fixed guide, in its upper part, a spool is screwed, on which a line is wound, the end of which is attached to the rope fastening screwed to the movable guide, the spool being driven by an electric motor powered from an external power source.

Equally preferably, inside the fixed guide, in its upper part, a screw drive of the screw is screwed, and the screw is screwed into a rectangular nut fixed to the inner wall of the movable guide.

It is also desirable when in the left and right walls of the fixed guides, on the side of the cabinet, cog-shaped notches are made, which cooperate with the locking rods of the locking mechanism, equipped with a cylindrical counterweight, installed on the hinge in the upper part at the side walls of the cabinet, the locking mechanism is designed to cooperate with the cog-shaped notches of the fixed guides and cutouts in the upper part of the movable guides, with the cutouts having an oval shape, and the counterweight of the locking mechanism is designed to work with the rollers of the intermediate lever connected with the brake cable which is attached to the brake lever.

It is appropriate when the fixed guides in the form of a U-shaped section on which the movable guides are slidably slid, are installed in the rear corners of the cabinet, with the fixed guides having angle bars screwed with screws, and the angle bars are designed to fasten the box to the wall by means of anchors.

It is reasonable when to the side walls of the cabinet, at its bottom, rollers are attached by means of a connector, cooperating with the lifting door pivotally mounted on rails, to which are attached at their ends, on both sides, gas springs.

It is good when the loading space under the cabinet is additionally secured on the sides by side walls which are screwed to the legs, between the cabinet and the feet.

Preferably, on the front of the box, inside the cabinet, drawers are installed, between which a lock insert is installed on the post, to which a shaft connecting the lock of the drawers, which has a housing and is installed centrally to the back wall of the cabinet so that it is invisible and inaccessible when the drawers are closed, the lock is equipped with a gear wheel, enabling the left bolt and right bolt to be moved to the closed or open position by turning the key in the lock insert.

It is expedient when on the inner side of the feet there are linear openings in which a beam connecting the two feet is attached. It is especially good when on the side of the drawers, at the bottom of the cabinet corners, an alarm mechanism is installed, having a multi-piece pipe, which is rotatably fastened through the pipe holder to the pipe hinge, connected to the limit switch.

An advantage of the invention is that in case of garages after leaving the garage with car, and in case of other localizations after freeing up the space directly under the box, the box can be mechanically lowered, which significantly facilitates access even to its upper parts. Moreover, the mounted drawers allow the better use of space and facilitate access to items located in the back of the box's trunk. In addition, the box especially adapted to the mounting in the garage can be additionally equipped with an adjustable bar limiting entry under the box trunk and the alarm mechanism in case of a possible collision between the car against the box.

The subject matter of the invention is shown in the execution examples in the drawing, in which fig. 1 shows a perspective view of the box in the basic version, Fig. 2 - rear view in an axonometric view, Fig. 3 - detail "A" from Fig. 2, Fig. 4 - detail "B" from Fig. 2, Fig. 5 - view of the box in perspective view with the lifting door extended, Fig. 6 - detail "C" in Fig. 5, Fig. 7 - detail "D" in Fig. 5, Fig. 8 - detail "E" in Fig. 5, Fig. 9 - detail "F" in Fig. 5, Fig. 10 - detail "G" in Fig. 5, Fig. 11 - cable box lifting mechanism in perspective view, Fig. 12 - screw box lifting mechanism in perspective view, Fig. 13 - view of locking mechanism with presented individual in stages of slides of the guides,, Fig. 14 - a box without legs in a embodiment that can be mounted directly to the wall, Fig.15 - detail "A" in Fig. 14.

The box is a garage box having a cuboid cabinet 1, to which the side shorter walls, legs 2 are attached, which consist of a fixed guide 2.1 in the form of a U-shaped section, onto which a movable guide 2.2 is slidably slid, which is attached to the side walls cabinets 1. Between the side walls of the movable guide 2.2 and the side walls of the fixed guide 2.1, balls 2.3 are embedded in the channels, facilitating smooth sliding of the guides 2.1, 2.2 in relation to each other. To each leg 2 of the box, the feet 7 are bolted perpendicularly to each other, which are based on the ground, thus ensuring the stability of the box's position. The feet 7 are constructed of stamped sheets, providing a void space in each foot that is used to install the individual mechanisms for adjusting the mutual position of the guides 2.1, 2.2. The feet 7 are additionally equipped with anti-slip pads, which are attached to their internal surfaces from the ground. In addition, the feet 7 are bolted to the legs 2 through the connector, by means of turnbuckles 8, as shown in Fig. 1. The connector is firmly attached to the outer walls of the legs 2 at a short distance from the feet 7, so that the turnbuckles 8 are fixed at one end to the connectors, and the other end to the feet 7. Such connection of the legs 2 with the feet 7 by means of turnbuckles 8, enables the exact positioning and leveling of the box with respect to the ground. This is extremely important on uneven surfaces, because lack of leveling may result in the instability of the entire box. Feet 7 in the legs axis 2 are connected by a threshold 28, which stabilizes the entire structure and acts as a threshold for the lifted door 24. From the front of the garage box, i.e., from the side of the vehicle's entrance under the box, and from the of the drawer extension side, between the feet 7, in which the openings are linearly made, a beam 10 is fixed, limiting the vehicle entrance. Depending on the vehicle, the beam 10 can be properly shifted and fixed in a given position thanks to the holes made in the feet 7.

Inside the cabinet 1, drawers 3 are installed, between which on the post a lock insert 4 is installed, enabling the switch of the drawer extension lock 3. A shaft 5 connecting the lock 6 of drawers 3 is attached to the lock insert 4, as shown in Fig. 10. The lock 6 has a housing and is installed centrally to the back wall of the cabinet 1 so as to be invisible and unavailable when the drawers 3 are closed, as shown in Fig 2. Fig. 4 with the detail "B" shows the structure of the lock 6, which is equipped with a gear wheel 6.1, which enables the left bolt 6.2 and right bolt 6.3 to be moved to the closed or open position by turning the key in the lock insert 4. Bolts 6.2, 6.3 they are inserted into openings of hooks of drawers 3, blocking their position and preventing them from being pulled out.

Fig. 5 shows a lifting door 24, which serves to cover and close the loading part under the cabinet 1 and behind the legs 2. Installed gas springs 26 ensure smooth opening and free closing of the lifted door 24. The loading space located under the cabinet 1 is additionally secured on the sides with the side walls 29, which are installed between the cabinet 1 and the feet 7 and screwed to the legs 2, as shown in Fig. 5

To the side walls of the cabinet 1, at its bottom, rollers 27 are attached by means of a fastener, cooperating with a lifting door 24 rotatable on rails 25, to which gas springs 26 are attached at their ends on both sides, as shown in detail in Fig. 7. The rollers 27 are covered by the legs 2 so that they are invisible during the use.

On the side of pull-out drawers 3, at the bottom of the cabinet 1, in its corners, an alarm mechanism 11 having a multi-piece pipe 11.1 is installed. The multi-piece pipe 11.1 is rotatably fastened by means of the pipe holder 11.2 of the pipe to the pipe hinge 11.3, connected to the limit switch 11.4, which, through the end position of the alarm mechanism 11, gives an acoustic signal when vehicle is parked too close to the garage box. The alarm mechanism 11 is a protection against a collision of a parked vehicle against the garage box, and the collision of the vehicle with the multi-segment pipe 11.1 does not cause any damage because the multi-segment pipe 11.1 is mounted on the hinge 11.3 and, under pressure, tilts towards the cabinet 1.

In the embodiment presented in Fig. 2, a garage box with a hydraulic mechanism for raising and lowering and thereby setting the height of the cabinet 1 in relation to the ground is shown. Upper mountings 13 of actuators 12 are attached to the left and right movable guides 2.2, while the lower mountings 14 of actuators 12 are attached to the feet 7, which mountings 13, 14 and the actuator 12 are coaxially located and are additionally covered by guides 2.1, 2.2. Consequently, the mechanism for adjusting the mutual position of the guides 2.1, 2.2 takes the form of the actuator 12. The actuator 12 is in the form of a hydraulic actuator and even distribution of oil pressure to two actuators 12, mounted in the legs 2, is provided by a flow divider 17 installed in the foot 7. The upper mounting 13 of actuators 12 are rectangular plates, which are screwed to the sliding guides 2.2 and side walls of the cabinet 1. The lower mountings 14 of the actuators 12 are in the form of pins inserted through the lugs of the actuators and holes in the feet 7 and holes in the fixed guides 2.1 The actuators 12 are powered by a pump 15 installed on one side of the cabinet 1, the fluid pressure being is monitored and controlled by a manometer 16 installed at the pump 15. The manometer 16 with the pump 15 are built and locked in a metal housing fixed to the side wall of the cabinet 1, as shown in Fig. 2.

Fig. 3 shows detail "A" from Fig. 2, which presents the structure of the box legs 2, which consist of a fixed guide 2.1 in the U-shape section, onto which a movable guide 2.2 is slidably slid and fixed to the side walls of the cabinet 1. In the left and right side of the fixed guides 2.1, on the side of the cabinet 1, cog-shaped notches 2.4 are made, which cooperate with the locking rods 9.1 of a locking mechanism 9 which adjust the cabinet 1 in relation to the feet 7.

The locking mechanism 9, i.e., the brake, is shown in detail in Fig. 8, Fig. 9 and Fig. 13. The locking mechanism 9 has a cylindrical counterweight 9.2 and is installed on a hinge 9.6 in the upper part at the side walls of the cabinet 1. Counterweight 9.2 dropping down under its own weight lifts up the second part of the locking mechanism 9 and thus moves the locking bar 9.1 and introduces it between the cog - shaped notches 2.4. The locking mechanism 9 cooperates with the cog - shaped notches 2.4 of the fixed guides 2.1 and the cutouts 2.5 in the upper part of the sliding guides 2.2, while the cutouts 2.5 in the upper part of the movable guides 2.2 have an oval shape which allows the locking bar 9.1 to slide freely into the unlocking position. Automatic locking of the locking mechanism 9 consists in jamming the locking bar 9.1 between the cog - shaped notches 2.4 made in the fixed guides 2.1, and the oval cutouts 2.5 of the sliding guides 2.2. The counterweight 9.2 of the locking mechanism 9 cooperates with the rollers of the intermediate lever 9.3 connected to the brake cable 9.4, as shown in Fig. 8.

Fig. 9 shows the connection of the brake cable 9.4 with the brake lever 9.5, the pull of which releases the entire locking mechanism 9 and thus the cabinet 1 is lowered. Lowering of the cabinet 1 of the box is possible after pressing down the brake handle and opening the hydraulic valve in the pump 15. Thereby, the actuators 12 perform a movement to lower the cabinet l. The lifting of the cabinet 1 and the lifting movement of the actuators 12 is performed by the pump 15, the locking mechanism 9 do not cause an automatic self-locking when the cabinet 1 moves upwards.

Fig. 11 shows a second embodiment of the mechanism for adjusting the mutual position of the guides 2.1 and 2.2, and the same the mechanism for adjustment of location of the box in the form of a rope drive mechanism. The construction and the principle of operation of the garage box is adequate as in the first embodiment, except that inside the fixed guide 2.1, in its upper part, a spool 23 is screwed, on which a line 21 is wound, the end of which is attached to the fastening 22 screwed to the movable guide 2.2. The spool 23 is driven by an electric motor powered from an external power source. Blocking the position of the cabinet 1 is realized by the locking mechanism 9, as in case of the hydraulic drive described in the first example. Fig. 12 shows a third execution example of the mechanism for adjusting the mutual position of the guides 2.1 and 2.2 and the same of the box in the form of a screw drive mechanism. Inside the fixed guide 2.1, in its upper part, the screw drive 20 of the screw 18 is screwed, which is screwed into the rectangular nut 19, fixed to the inner wall of the movable guide 2.2. Changing the position of the cabinet 1 of the box in relation to the ground is carried out by turning the driven screw 18, screwed into the nut 19. Turning the screw 18 to the right, i.e., screwing in, causes the cabinet 1 to be lifted, and turning the screw to the left causes the opposite operation, i.e., lowering the cabinet 1 in relation to the ground. In this embodiment variant, the locking mechanism 9 is superfluous because the used self-locking screw 18 automatically prevents the cabinet 1 from lowering, such mechanism can be however used for security increasing.

Figure 14 shows an embodiment of the box that can be attached directly to a wall. The construction of the box in this embodiment is adequate as in the example described above, except that the box does not have feet. Moreover, fixed guides 2.1. in the form of a U-shaped section on which the movable guides 2.2 are slidably slid on, are installed in the rear corners of the cabinet 1. To the fixed guides 2.1, the angle bars 30 are screwed, which fix the box to the wall by means of anchors 31, which is shown in more detail in Fig. 15. This solution allows the box to be attached to the walls in any position.
