Abstract:
Provided are a garbage collection technology for storage media. A storage medium may be, for example, a solid-state drive. The solid-state drive comprises multiple blocks; each storage has collection parameters, and the collection parameters are associated with data in the blocks; each block comprises multiple pages; a block group is selected from the multiple blocks according to the collection parameters, and the difference between values of the collection parameters of any two blocks in the block group is not greater than a preset value; data in a first valid page and a second valid page in the block group is copied to the same destination block in order for garbage collection.
