A garbage sorting and conveying apparatus, comprises a feed hopper (1), a sorting and conveying device (2), a collection device (3), and a frame (4); the sorting and conveying device (2) comprises a conveying portion and a sorting portion, the conveying portion comprising a conveyor belt (21) carrying garbage and transmission wheels driving the conveyor belt (21) to operate; the feed hopper (1) is provided above a feed end, and the collection device (3) is provided close to a discharge end and is located below the discharge end; the sorting portion comprises a throwing mechanism and an air supplying mechanism; the throwing mechanism is provided below the conveyor belt (21), and is able to act on the conveyor belt (21) so as to throw up the garbage on the conveyor belt (21); the air supplying mechanism comprises a sealing cover (24) covering the conveyor belt (21), and an air inlet duct (25) provided on the sealing cover (24), the air inlet duct (25) being connected to a wind source to supply air into the sealing cover (24) and blow air to the garbage. By means of throwing and air blowing, materials with different mass have speed differences during conveying, so as to form different motion trajectories, so that effective separation is achieved at the discharge end.
